Until we meet again. Robert Welborn, 48, of Pearland, Texas, died at MD Anderson Cancer Center on May 10th, 2024 with his wife by his side.
Robert was born in San Antonio in 1975 to Anita & William Welborn. He attended schools in the greater Houston/Conroe area.
Robert met the love of his life, Jeanette Welborn in 1998 while at a local dive bar. He was there with best friend, Eric Lakey and she was with best friend Faith Cisneros. Robert would often joke he was dragged out by his friend Eric. The two had an instant connection and were married on 11-11-2000.
Robert had a soft spot for their furry friends, treating each other like a family member. He is preceded by his sweet canine, Marley. Robert and Jeanette had one fur baby, Orie, who they adopted from a local shelter.
Robert had two childhood best friends, Eric Lawhon and Eric Lakey. A month prior to his death the three visited Boston and went to Fenway Park.
Robert was passionate about his recent promotion as Senior Manager HRSC at Waste Management, working for the company for 13 years. Robert was loved by his coworkers and made friends throughout his career.
Everyone who knew Robert knew how much he loved music (Bob Marley), fishing, sports, traveling with Jeanette, and fine dining.
Robert will always be remembered for his warm and kind soul. Also the way he loved and cherished his wife. We couldn't have asked for a better husband, sibling, Godfather, and friend. His family will miss him everyday. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved Robert. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Welborn, and survived by his wife Jeanette and numerous family members.
