Kenneth E. Czapla of Springville, NY was born September 25, 1954 in Buffalo, NY a son of the late Bronislaus and Elizabeth (Jankowski) Czapla. He graduated from West Valley Central School and Alfred State College.
Ken had many interests and hobbies which he explored over the years. He was a member of the National Association of Rocketry, a Master Gardener, and a woodworker. He was passionate about the outdoors and always full of ideas. He was also an avid space enthusiast actively following all of the NASA missions and watching each launch. Ken was fascinated by space exploration and the Earth was never quite big enough for him with all of those other people in it. He left this world on August 28, 2022. We hope that he will find himself right at home on the moon.
He is survived by his daughters: Jennifer Czapla and Mary Anne (Rick) Albert; his siblings: Benedict (Mary) Czapla, Donald (Mary Anne) Czapla, and Cynthia (Richard) Dayton; his grandchildren: Nicholas and Olivia and by several nieces and nephews.
