Jeanie Brown

"You always wanted Clint to fly you to the moon"
1933 - 2025

Hazel Jean, "Jeanie" Brown, was born on August 28, 1933, in Farmville, North Carolina. She worked as a dental hygienist and physical therapist while raising her daughter as a single mother after her first marriage ended in divorce. She married Clinton Eugene Brown on October 29, 1966. It was a second marriage for both, and both had children from their first marriages. In the 42 years of their marriage, they had no more children but did have many grand life experiences and four grandchildren. After living in Yorktown, VA, northern VA, and Silver Spring, MD, they moved to the Annapolis area for their retirement years.

Jeanie lived a life marked by dedication to family and community. She spent many years in Annapolis, Maryland, where she became a familiar and respected presence. Her passion for civic service shone through her active involvement with the American Legion Auxiliary and the Fleet Reserve Association. Through these organizations, she devoted countless hours to supporting veterans and their families, as well as US Naval Academy midshipmen.

At age 91, Jeanie passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, in hospice care in Boca Raton, Florida.
