Curtis “Curt” Carson Lau, 70, of Mentor was born June 27, 1954 in Evanston, IL.
Curt graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a BS degree in pharmacy and received his MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He was a career pharmacist.
Curt was 2nd Vice Chairman of the Lake County Republican Party, a member of the Lake County ADAMHS Board, a member of the Chagrin Valley Astronomical Society and former member of the Mentor Board of Zoning Appeals.
Curt was a man with many interests. His love for classic rock music led to an extensive collection of guitars he enjoyed playing. He had a passion for gardening, particularly growing roses and dabbling in bonsai trees. His lifelong fascination with astronomy and space exploration inspired him to experience several rocket launches from the Kennedy Space Center. Curt was a former marathon runner and most notably participated in the Chicago Marathon as well as the 100th running of the Boston Marathon.
Curt's two sons, Carson and Griffin, will be attending the launch so that they can enjoy one last rocket launch together.
