"Our Bright Star, May You Shine Above the World!"
2007 - 2023

Our Bright Star, May You Shine Above the World Now!

Phillip was a bright, creative, loving, passionate, loyal, funny (usually at the most inappropriate times), and kind young man. He was our bright star.

Phillip was born in Pembroke Pines, Florida. At the age of three, his family moved to Furlong, Pennsylvania. He attended kindergarten at Bridge Valley Elementary School. His family then moved to Aurora, Colorado. He thrived for the next four years while attending Black Forest Hills Elementary School. In 2017, the family moved again to Moon Township, Pennsylvania, where Phillip attended Moon Area Middle School. In August 2020, the family moved one more time to Glenmoore, Pennsylvania, where Phillip was a Downingtown High School East student at the time of his passing.

He loved playing video games and would spend hours online with his friends back in Moon. He played the saxophone, with the Rocky theme being one of his favorites to play. He loved watching scary movies and forcing his family to watch them with him. He loved reading Goosebumps books as a kid and had recently become a Stephen King fan. He was a four-time “Comas Family Thanksgiving” Cornhole Champion along with his godfather. As a junior in high school, Phillip was actively looking at universities. He was planning many campus visits around the state of Florida, where he was hoping to return to attend school.

His greatest passions were learning history and traveling. He loved to talk about history to anyone willing to listen. When we traveled, he loved to learn as much about the history of places we visited and to share that history with others.

Phillip adored his two dogs, Bradley and Ember J. He loved spending time with his family and loved traveling with them. In his short life, Phillip visited 26 states and 17 countries. He had plans to visit so many more. Phillip wanted to see the world.

When researching the best way to honor Phillip, we came across the Celestis program and could not think of a better way for Phillip to see the world and be a star amongst the stars. We love you to the moon and back a million times over, Phillip. ~ Mom, Dad, Kat
