Murray George Knudson

"Love of my life have fun on your new adventure"
1946 - 2023

Murray George Knudson, 77, a 20-year resident of Pagosa Springs suddenly passed away October 13, 2023, with his wife by his side. Born on January 14, 1946 to Arthur R. Knudson and Dorothy H. Knudson (Schmidt) in Inglewood, California. He served in the Navy during Vietnam and went on to become a professional pilot, avid sky diver, and air traffic controller. Not to forget his passion for roller coasters with hundreds of rides enjoyed. New possibilities opened for Murray from driving truck to finally becoming a Software Test Engineer for Microsoft – with NO computer training at all. He excelled in finding issues that those with computer science degrees missed. His lifelong passion was space as he read and watched anything he could get his hands on.

Murray is survived by his wife of 43 years, Margaret (Peggy) Putnam Knudson, son Brian Knudson, daughter-in-law Laura Knudson and granddaughter Lainey; along with his dear kitty kids Bob, Merlin and Gandalf.

Murray was a one of a kind and will be missed terribly.
