Prentiss (Felton) Keyes, Jr., 67, of Waleska, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, surrounded by family at Northside Hospital Gwinnett.
Born on July 10, 1958 in Nashville, Tennessee to Dr. Prentiss Felton Keyes, Sr. and Irene Parker Keyes, Felton grew up with a love for music. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi State University and went on to have a fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse where he excelled in various fields of nursing.
Felton never met a stranger. His genuine compassion for others was always prevalent. This compassion continued after his death by fulfilling his wish to be an organ donor via LifeLink. He attended Lake Arrowhead Church and enjoyed spending quality time with his friends and his sister. Felton loved researching about planets and stars and loved watching meteor showers and eclipses. He was happiest when he was singing and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed great food, going to gun shows and thrift shopping.
Felton was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Prentiss Felton Keyes, Sr., and Irene Parker Keyes, and is survived by his sister, Misty (and Bobby) DeCoux, nephews, and significant others: Adam (and Tiffany) Stokes; Corey Stokes and Becca Baker; Remy (and Jessica) DeCoux; and Chase DeCoux and Reagan Renda. Also survived by his grandnieces, Isabella Viteri and Addy French, and grandnephew Christian French, and by Michelle Summey.
Felton researched Celestes Spaceflight Memorials and chose this as a great way to live out his dream of going into space. We look forward to being able to track his journey, knowing he will be a shooting star!
We love you, Felton! Enjoy the journey!
