Bobbie Joy Swanstrom
1952 - 1997

"Mi Vida Loca"

Bobbie Joy Swanstrom

The letter "B"obbie Swanstrom had a love of life that was clearly genuine. She had a way of seeing the positive in the most negative situations. People were the most important part of her life. She loved her friends very much and she loved her son, Sierra Colt, more than anything.

Bobbie spent much of her life traveling. She saw many different places and met many different people. She spent a lot of time in Washington and Montana. She ended up in Minnesota from where she had originated. She always had a desire to explore new places and do new things.

One thing that Bobbie loved as much as the people in her life was music. She was a musician and played with many different people and music groups. Music was a gift that Bobbie was always giving. She would play a song on her guitar for anyone who wanted to listen. She would sing a few lyrics from a song at any time, especially if someone wanted to sing with her.

Bobbie's life was very full. She lived each day as if it were her last. One of Bobbie's final wishes was to have her ashes sent into space. With help from Celestis, Inc., this dream and final journey has come true.

Carpe diem: enjoyment of the present without concern for the future.

Do not stand at my grave and weep - I am not there I do not sleep - I am a thousand winds that blow - I am the diamond glints on snow - I am the sunlight on ripened grain - I am the gentle autumn's raw - when you awaken in the morning's hush - I am the swift uplifting rush - Of quiet birds in circled flight - I am starshine through the night - Do not stand at my grave and cry - I am not there I did not die.
